Scope and Contents

This collection primarily consists of papers related to the '1982' Long Range DTF with topics including curricular pathways, Evergreen's role and mission, divisional structure, marketing and liberal arts definition and implementaiton. Other papers include general memos on related planning committees ranging from 1970 to 1994. Collection also includes materials from the following programs that Curtz taught (1985-2002):

Development: The Aim of Education (1985 – 1986); Teacher Education Program (1986 – 1987); Dreams and Art (1998); Weird and Wondrous (1999); Children's Literature and Lives (2001 - 2002)

Biographical / Historical

Thad (Thaddeus Jr.) Curtz worked at the Evergreen State College from 1972 until his retirement in 2007. Thad Curtz taught programs related to English and Literatue. As of 2019 Curtz was involved in climate acitivist acitivities in the South Sound region.
