Sid was born in Detroit and during this time period he lived in Detroit,
Manhattan, Russia, Monroe, Michigan, Chicago, and Brooklyn. There are photos of family and friends,
including those taken when he was on leaves during the early years in the Army. Information on
the principal of his high school in Brooklyn and his mentor/graphic design teacher, Leon Friend.
Accompanying this volume is a copy of Leon Friend’s book on graphic design.
Sid was able to specialize in graphic design in high school.
