Making American Selves Records
Scope and Contents
This records group consists of checklists, letters of introduction, biographical sketches, project proposals, interview questions, tape indexes, release forms, research summaries, final papers, thank you notes to interviewees, and audiocassettes containing interviews which document the students' oral history work in the academic year 1991-1992 for the Making American Selves Core program at the Evergreen State College.

Historical Note
The Making American Selves program was a Core Coordinated Studies program designed by Faculty Brian Price. This program asked students "What does it mean to be an American?" This was a yearlong program spanning the academic year of 1991 to 1992. In Fall Quarter the focus was personal and family identity, in Winter Quarter the focus was shifted to identities in previous eras, and in Spring Quarter the focus moved to the future.
