Biographical / Historical
Ruth C Hayes began teaching at The Evergreen State College in 1997. She received her BA in Animation from Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges in 1978. In 1992 she received her MFA in Experimental Animation from California Institute of the Arts. Hayes taught classes in animation, film and media studies and visual arts and visual studies. Her interests were in Experimental Animation, Nonfiction Animation, Film and Media, and Media Arts. Hayes’ personal creative work has included making films, flipbooks, and other animation toys.
